Alumni Leadership Board Nomination Form
Working together with the Office of Alumni Engagement, the Alumni Leadership Board (ALB) serves in an advisory capacity to assist in developing the strategic goals, initiatives and comprehensive objectives to engage all UNCG alumni into the life of their alma mater.
The Awards and Nominations Committee invites you to identify alumni who would be great candidates to serve on and contribute towards the vision of the Alumni Leadership Board.
The vision and expectations for the Alumni Leadership Board are outlined below. Please consider these attributes along with unique skill sets, community involvement and leadership qualities when submitting your recommendation.
To submit your nomination, all information must be uploaded below. All contact and biographical information must be submitted at the time of the nomination. Self-nominations are not accepted.
VISION of the Alumni Leadership Board
Our vision is to include the greatest possible number of alumni with UNCG on an annual basis by creating a range of programs and services so appealing that alumni will seek to remain engaged with the University and each other. ALB board members will be called upon to use their unique skill set and circle of influence to help achieve these goals.
Consistent with the core values of community, education and service, the UNCG Alumni Leadership Board will provide strategic counsel and guidance so that our alumni can: continue the process of life-long learning, foster diversity, inclusion and community, receive valuable services to enhance their lives and careers and serve the University, other alumni, students and the community at large.
BOARD MEMBER CRITERIA
• Attendance - Commitment of 5-10 hours a month to include board meeting, attendance at special events and committee work.
• Confidentiality – Maintain confidential nature of board deliberations and decisions.
• Advocacy – Be an effective ambassador for both UNCG and the UNC system.
• Financial – Contribute to the university with a minimum pledge each fiscal year.
